HUMAN PRESENCE: FACES, FIGURES, CROWDS

CALL FOR ENTRIES

Exhibition Dates November 21,  2024 - January 7. 2024

The Belvedere Tiburon Library Gallery is pleased to invite your submissions to our upcoming exhibition that captures the human form. Portraiture is one of the oldest art forms but, in addition to the traditional representations of a particular person, this Call welcomes many takes on a broadened theme.

Human Presence: Faces, Figures, Crowds seeks a wide range of art works that include a human presence. Bodily forms can be presented through abstraction, figuration or a marriage of both. Captured likenesses or figures of complete mystery are all fair game. The face or body may simply get a contour line treatment as a nod or, in complete contrast, submittals may include well-executed portraits that reveal the sitter’s soul. This Call also includes urban scenes with a crowd or possibly a single presence on a beach or mountain side. The range for Human Presence: Faces, Figures, Crowds is intentionally broad. (However, nudes and sculpture cannot be considered.)

We are truly grateful for your exploration of the human condition through art and very much look forward to spending time with your creative responses to this Call. Thank you for your willingness to share your artwork with us.
