Larry Clark started drawing and painting at age five. He received a bachelor's degree from Miami University Ohio, a MFA at UCLA in film. Known as a leading directors of the film movement called the L.A. Rebellion. He has had his films shown at the Tate Modern, Pompidou Center, N.Y. Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum, Galeries Contemporaines des Musees de Marseille, National Art Gallery.

I have no clever, witty, deep, incomprehensible, mystical artistic statement to share with you. I have always painted from the beginning of life itself. I never questioned or explained why I painted I simply painted for the expression of it. I put the uniqueness of what I see and feel in an amalgamated image that can be thought about and discovered.
