I took this image while I sat at the counter of an old Diner on Irving Street a few years back. I removed two other diners from the photo in order to focus on the man sitting on the last stool, holding his head and eating alone.

I am a retired psychotherapist living in the Mission District of San Francisco. I have been taking photographs for 40 years and am a long time member of the Photochrome Camera Club of San Francisco.
Artist Statement
I love to go out with my camera and leave all else behind, still excited about discovering what's around the next corner--even after all these years!
