Over the years my way of showing figures and faces has taken different ways of painting a narrative or story that reveals something about the person or place it inhabits. My influences from the beginning have been Lucian Freud, Alice Neal and many more.
I have attended art classes at The Art Institute in SF, UC Berkeley and Marin College. Have had awards in the past for my Altered Books,

I enjoy painting, but the fun of it is adding collage for more depth and interest. I try and use color in many ways that are contrary to conventional portrait painting. Using cut up paper, cardboard and many other fragments can take a picture to a whole new place.
