King of the Night Time World
King of the Night Time World
Neon sign making is a dying art form and night life subcultures are keeping neon signs alive via theaters, liquor stores, dive bars and sex shops. Focusing on mainly women of color in punk/goth aesthetics, set in a night life landscape full of imagined vibrant neon signs, leather, violence and pop culture details are captured in compositions reminiscent of old master paintings and a surreal fever dream.

Artist Statement
My works are focused on mainly women of color, set in stylized and surrealistic environments. Portraits of women in punk/goth subculture aesthetics in old master style compositions, surrounded by vibrant neon colored lights mixed with pop culture details and Catholic symbolism are captured in arresting cinematic scenes.
