Artist Statement
I am electrified by the idea of leaping, the leaping in the creative process when ink, word, and form brings us to something unknown. The figures are in transition, hybrid beings. They are emerging stories, as possibilities with which to move forward in such complex and dynamic times. These bodies coalesce in the foot or claw, where humanity transcends its limitations revealing its vulnerability.
