Stephen Namara is a contemporary African and American artist currently living and working in San Francisco. He arrived in San Francisco during the latter half of the 1970s as a student at the San Francisco Art Institute, and stayed. The portrait, the still-life and the realization of specific spaces have been enduring concerns throughout his career.

My art practice is not about outcome but is centered around a meditative process. And I believe that its better understood through looking at it then through anything I might write or say.
